Mosaic began more than 4,000 years ago. The use of terra-cotta cones to build vital patterns was established during that time. It was the Greek in the 4th century who customized and later enhanced the art my making human and animals as models.


In 200 B.C., tesserae, a tiny cube-shape tile, was used to create mosaic replacing stones and pebbles.

Modern mosaic artists continuously innovates more ideas and advances using also the latest technology.


New designs with a touch of modern technology produces mosaic patterns (see this) that eventually made their way as home furnishing, in art exhibits and architectural interior designs.
