Art Of Making Mosaics

Mosaic is an art that assembles tiny pieces of object into a particular patterns.
  



History
Mosaic began more than 4,000 years ago. The use of terra-cotta cones to build vital patterns was established during that time. It was the Greek in the 4th century who customized and later enhanced the art my making human and animals as models.





In 200 B.C., tesserae, a tiny cube-shape tile, was used to create mosaic replacing stones and pebbles.


Modern mosaic artists continuously innovates more ideas and advances using also the latest technology.
 




 New designs with a touch of modern technology  produces mosaic patterns (see this) that eventually made their way as home furnishing, in art exhibits and architectural interior designs.

I'm Healthy But I'm Gaining Weight

Certain types of foods you eat can cause more rapid weight gain than others. Rapid weight gain is particularly dangerous, not only for the illness it can directly cause, but because it may be an indication of a more serious problem. With all of the different fad diets out there it can be hard to distinguish fact from fiction when you're searching for good dietary advice. But did you know that there are certain healthy food that can cause weight gain?


Chips, gooey desserts

This dessert is very fattening. It is a classic soft, chewy oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips and a hint of cinnamon.


Sushi Rolls

Many of the main ingredients found in sushi are in fact healthy and beneficial to our health but there are also few disadvantages in this delicious food. Under-cooked fish could result in a disease in which a certain type of worm invade the body.


Dried Fruit

Dried fruit is a great tasting snack and it is tempting to indulge excessively because of its nutritional value. Although dried fruits are a healthy addition to your diet, they may have adverse effects on your weight if you don't control your portions.


Granola

Because it is high in calories and easy to store, hikers or campers often eat them. Snack bars comes in many different varieties including granola and because of this, it is more convenient to take it on a long trip. However, most snack bars contain significant quantities of sugar and some have substantial amount of fats.


Bottled Teas

Bottled tea is a rage among health-conscious people. But beware! According to studies, it is not healthy as we think they are because it loses much of its antioxidants.


Rice Cakes

It is any kind of food item made from rice that has been shaped, condensed or other wise combined into a single object. As we all know, rice is the staple food of over half of the world's population. Our body needs carbohydrates but too much eating of rice plus no exercise causes you to gain weight.


Diet Microwave Meals

People who are on weight loss diets try to make their meals healthy, but if you are busy and do not have time to cook; you might turn to diet microwave meals. Although they are called diet microwave meals, they are not as nutritious as the meals you prepare yourself due to their often high preservatives and sodium content.

Salads

Consuming a salad daily provides many benefits to the body. Not all salads are created equal, some vegetables are low in calories and some dressings can also be high in calories.


Gaining weight really depends on your intake of carbohydrates and fatty foods because your body can use either fat or carbohydrates for energy when you do basic exercise. There are several possible ways to lessen your weight like working out in a gym, minimizing your food intake and daily exercise but for some people, these ways doesn't seem to work. For those people who are having a hard time losing their weight, you can try a medical spa treatment and with its many benefits, it is truly worth it.

Fresh Banana Fresh Carving Ideas

Banana can be found everywhere and I mean everywhere. It is common not because it is so abundant but because of its nutrition contents. Accoring to Wikipedia: Banana is pack with Vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and B6. Banana also is very appealing to everyone bacause of its yellowish color, sometimes purple or red. But did you know about the banana carving?... Since bananas insides are soft, they are easy to carve into designs such as flowers, birds, fish or other animals. Bananas with peels are also carved and hold up longer thanks to its protective layer, which keeps the fruit fresh.

No one can deny that banana is one of the most nutritious food in the planet. Every country has its type of banana but banana is plentiful in tropical countries. It is rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and C and a very good source of potassium. Bananas can be carved also to make different artistic designs. Its seems simple but difficult to non-artist.

Well, some artists use wood, marble or clay, why not carve a banana? I never thought that bananas are also a candidate for food carvings because it is soft but some people were able to carve it and the pictures above are proofs.
